Q. Where is the festival located?

Visit the Venues & Maps page to view all the details about the festival location for the city you are currently viewing. To view the details for another city, select it from the "change location..." drop down menu on the top right hand side of your screen.

Q. What are the Laneway Festival playing times?

When playing times are available you can view them on our Playing Times page.

Q. Can I download the Venue Maps?

Q. I have a media request who can help me?

Security

Q. Can I bring my own alcohol into the festival?

No. Laneway is licensed to sell alcohol and we provide great, well-stocked bars. Please don’t attempt to bring any banned items into the festival as all bags are searched on arrival and items will be confiscated and will not be returned.

Q. Is the festival for over 18's only?

Yes, Laneway is strictly an over 18's event. Anyone who fails to present valid ID (drivers license/passport) upon entry to the festival will not be allowed into the festival. No refunds will be processed for patrons who are denied entry due to not having valid identification for admittance.

St Jerome's Laneway Festival is a fully licensed event so, like many fully licensed venues, we are unable to accommodate people under the age of 18. We apologise to those of you under 18 who miss out as a result of this but look forward to seeing you in a few years.

Q. Where do I report any lost or found articles?

Found:

Please take any found items to festival staff.

Lost:

During the event, ask festival staff - they will direct you to the lost property area. After the event please emaill lost@lanewayfestival.com.au.

Q. What should I bring to the festival? What should leave at home?

Bring:

√ Your ticket! It will be a wristband but please don't put it on until you arrive - gate staff will put it on for you when you get there

√ Sun protection

√ Your mates

√ Cash - as there are no pass outs and not all outlets will have EFTPOS facilities

Leave at home:

X Your car - there are plenty of good public transport options, check them out at Venes and Maps

X Glass

X Anti-social behaviour and acoutrements thereof (weapons etc.)

X Booze and drugs

X Pets

X Furniture

Q. Can I go bare foot?

Sorry guys shoe wear is necessary - thongs and sandals are fine but you may want to consider your toes and enclosed footwear as it is a long day.

Q. Will there be ATM facilities at the festival?

The venues do have ATM facilities but make sure you bring enough cash with you on the day.

Q.  When do the gates open and close?

In Sydney, the gates open at 12:00pm and 10:00pm.

Ticketing & Wristbands

Q. Where can I buy tickets / I have a question about tickets?

If you have any queries about ticketing, please go to our ticketing FAQ's. If you can't find the answer to your question, please fill out this support request.

Q. What happens if it rains on the day?

The event will go ahead rain, hail or snow...

Q. What happens if I lose my ticket?

Tickets cannot be replaced for any reason so please don't lose them.

Q. Will Pass Outs be possible on the day?

There are no Pass Outs on the day so if you choose to leave the festival at any point, you will not be admitted back in. There will be more than enough food, drinks, amenities and - of course - music to keep going all day inside the event.

Q. Will extra tickets go on sale or be sold at the gate if the event sells out?

Sorry no further tickets will go on sale - so don't leave it to the last minute!
